1 cable box for 2 tvs – LII

I need help with 2 hd 1080p tv's on 1 interior wall, one tv on each side of same wall they need to share 1 top cable box. Yes we can drill a wall hole to feed cables through to each tv. How can I get my cable remote to work on both sides? Do I need hdmi signal splitter? Do I need a hdmi switch box? H ELP… I'm Tv connection desperate in California for any answers or options. but when you changed the channel on the fireplace tv did that also change the station on the smaller tv?
