This for assigning the Comcast remote to the cable box.
You will still need to setup the remote to your TV.
If have a Comcast remote and and it doesn’t work with your cable box. Or yours just stopped changing channels. Try these steps first.
Hit the input button to cycle through the video inputs. It will likely be marked TV/VCR and is in the lower left hand corner.
If you are sure you are on the correct input than proceed with this unlock procedure.
Press the cable button top center once .
Press and hold the Setup Button Top Right the cable button should flash twice. press 982 to enter the remote setup. The cable button should flash four times if the remote setup was previously locked.
If it only flashes two times after pressing 982 than it was already unlocked and you just locked it. Start over by holding the Setup Button down until it flashes twice press 982.
It should flash four times.
Now to enter the code.
Press setup button again light flashes twice
Now press 01376 if successful it will flash twice.
If not repeat the sequence and try it without the zero just 1376
It should flash twice.
There are other codes that may unlock the remote to your box.

my setup button only blinks once not twice and the 980, 982, etc codes do nothing. My other remote doesnt blink at all.
